Upper Engadin Hospital

The Upper Engadin Hospital is an established health centre in the Engadin-St. Moritz region. It provides a comprehensive and diverse range of medical services to meet the broader primary healthcare needs of the local population, seasonal workers and tourist visitors. High-quality, ethical and scientifically sound practices are its top priority.

The Upper Engadin Hospital is run by the ‘Upper Engadin Healthcare Foundation’ (acronym in German: SGO). As a key healthcare service-provider, the SGO offers a complete primary healthcare service via the hospital, as well as the Promulins care home, the Spitex and various advisory services.

Information for patients

We need your help to ensure the administration process is as smooth as possible.
Therefore, before you arrive, please have the following information to hand:

  • The name of your health insurance scheme or provider
  • Your policy type – general, semi-private or private
  • The name of any supplementary health insurance schemes or providers you are covered by

You don’t need to request a certificate of cover – we’ll gladly take care of that for you.

Visiting times

Medical care and attention may also be administered during visiting hours. Therefore, we ask for your understanding in the event that this requires you to wait.

  • General ward: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Private and semi-private wards: 10:00 am – midday and 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Children’s ward: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
    A child’s parent or guardian may visit at any time and is permitted to stay overnight in the child’s room.
  • New mothers: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Partners and siblings may visit at any time.
